Honey Boo Boo looked totally unrecognisable as she returned home from college with her older boyfriend Dralin Carswell this week.
The 18-year-old TLC reality star was spotted looking slightly groggy as she made her way through the airport in Atlanta, Georgia, in a yellow Barbie t-shirt, holding 22-year-old Dralin’s hand.
Honey – real name Alana Thompson – is studying nursing in Denver, Colorado, and living off-campus “for security reasons”.
She has been dating Dralin since she was 15 and he was 19.
She donned a pale yellow t-shirt emblazoned with the pink Barbie logo and a pair of tight black leggings, slinging a black and white duffel bag over one shoulder and letting her blonde hair fall in loose curls down her shoulders.
Mama June has previously spoken out on her Toddlers and Tiaras star daughter’s age-gap romance, telling Daily Mail: “He is older than her but honestly for me, Dralin has a very young mentality. He has a very teenage mentality, if that makes sense.”
She added: “When people say some boys mature at a later age than women do… he is one of those boys to me.
“A lot of people still look at Alana as that five-year-old little girl that you all grew up with.”
June said Honey Boo Boo gets “a lot of backlash” for wearing false eyelashes and fake nails – but fumed that the criticism is hypocritical as she did the exact same thing for pageants as a small child.
“Now that she’s old enough to do all that, why do you have a problem now when y’all didn’t have a problem back then?” her mother wondered.
